Broken Arms!
When we were called about this set of arms, there were very few welds left that hadn’t cracked. The hydraulic cylinders were in desperate need of replacement as well. We decided to make some adjustments, including:
First we cut and ground out all of the cracks and repaired all of the welds, fishplating where necessary for strength
Next, we modified the cylinder geometry and mounts to fit a standard and widely available cylinder
We also moved the tilt cylinders from the bottom to the top side of the arms. This allowed them to be retracted when in the retracted position, thus keeping the chrome protected for a longer period of time
Then, we reinforced the pin bores to slow the wear and give more surface area for grease to work
Lastly, we tested everything for function and moved on to modifying the bucket to match!

Well… I guess this is farming. Either way we are glad we were able to successfully re-attach the severed limb! Another happy customer.
